Animal protection
Veternity has a corporate philanthropy policy aligned with its history, its values and its mission in favour of respect for animals. The Group supports the physical and psychological well-being of animals and equines. It also encourages therapeutic initiatives based on the relationship between humans and pets.
Esthima supports the “Balto Bus”, a veterinary and social project to help homeless people and their animals, present in the Lyon metropolitan area. The idea is to create a friendly and welcoming space to accommodate homeless people and take care of their pets ( with food, medicine and possible surgery). The project leaders, all students at the Veterinary School in Lyon (Vét Agro Sup), are convinced that animals should not be an obstacle to reintegration, but on the contrary are an asset. To learn more about the project, see here.
In France, the team led a solidarity and awareness campaign: for each employee who completed a CSR micro-training course, a donation was made to the SPA (Société Protectrice des Animaux).
Internationally, our teams partner with local associations dedicated to the protection of animals, for instance in Belgium. In Germany, Cremare develops projects involving Equine assisted therapy.

Supporting research
In France, Esthima participates in the funding of the “Bien-être animal” (Animal well being) learning programme by VetAgro Sup (a graduate school for Veterinarians sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture), this programme supports scientific research on animal well being, it also provides training for professionals and fosters interactions between the different stakeholders around animal well being. This programme started in 2019, and over the next 3 years of the duration of this programme, Esthima will have contributed 15 000 € / year to support research.
